One of the most recent things in the celebrity world, since it happened this afternoon, was the death of Anna Nicole Smith at the young age of 39. I figured I’d get a jump start and blog about this topic because the media I’m sure will be all over it. Through the Salon website I found this blogger’s article that gives a CNN quote stating what happened in Smith’s hotel room. I think it’s a very sad event, reguardless of people’s view over her, I mean death is a tragedy to any family. This is an increasing tragedy to her family because her son, Daniel, just recently died. Anna Nicole Smith has been in the public eye since her playboy days and has continously maintained a spot in media’s attention. I’m sure as more news come out about this things will get more complicated, since it is still unknown about the cause of her death. There aren’t many articles that I can find about this tragedy at this point, however, as time progresses I’m sure there will be more details.

I agree with you, this is a tragedy, I wonder though if her death had to do with a overdose of diet pills or drugs. I certianly hope not. She has a young daughter born in Spetember and now that young girl will grow up without a mother, what a horrible thing. I also agree no matter what people think of Anna-Nicole, she has passed on and now should be respected enough to not say nasty things.

Well, I am a complete news junkie. When I arrived home from work this evening I turned on the television and saw what had happened. Although I have never been partial to Anna-Nicole, I felt very upset and unsettled about the situation. First of all, her son Daniel died not too long ago which was a mystery in and of itself and now Anna-Nicole passes away. I may be coming on a little strong here, but I suspect fowl play. It just seems so bizarre that her and her son would die within months of each other so suddenly. I also heard on Larry King Live that there is a custody battle over her daughter DanielLyn that could drag on for a lengthy amount of time. It will be interesting to see how all of this pans out.

I think it is interesting that all three of you point out that regardless of how people feel/felt about anna nicole that this is a tragedy. I felt that the blogger you linked to was a bit harsh in his/her “I hated anna nicole, but…” response. How can a person *hate* someone whom s/she doesn’t even know, never met? Someone who never did anything to her/him?
And yes, I’m sure the conspiracy theories will last many years to come….

The whole situtation with her dying and her son dying is veyr strange. I wam not to famialiar with her background or the story of what happen because I don’t watch much, but what I have heard or watch if unbelievable. I understand that she was a celeb, but come on enough is enough. The case isn’t solved, but people–the media–has obscure everything about her. Let her rest in peace…
